Babken Tunyan Elected Deputy Chair of NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs

The NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs had two items on the agenda of the sitting held on August 27: the election of the Deputy Chair of the Committee and the approval of the work order of the Committee.

The Committee member Tsovinar Vardanyan informed that being guided by the Law – the NA Rules of Procedure, the Civil Contract Faction nominated Babken Tunyan’s candidacy in the post for the Deputy Chair of the Committee. The MP presented the candidate’s biographical and professional data, and the working experience.

Thanking the Civil Contract Faction for nominating him as a candidate, Babken Tunyan expressed hope that this Committee being one of the burdened committees of the NA, regardless of political disagreements, would be at a professional height, the issues would be discussed comprehensively and would ensure equal voting right and representation for all. Expressing readiness for cooperation, the candidate noted that his experience and knowledge would be used to have a better country and economy.

As a result of voting, Babken Tunyan was elected the Deputy Chair of the Committee.

The Committee also approved the work order of the activity.
